 We're excited to show off our 2018 scholarship recipients, from Culinary Institute Lenotre, UH, Art Institute, and San Jacinto.

We're so excited to welcome our members to our first meeting and dinner of the year to celebrate our friendship, our bonding and working together to make our lives tasteful, interesting and compassionate!

The purpose of the meeting is the Installation of the New Board and review of the 2018-2019 new program events ahead.

In partnership with the Les Dames d'Escoffier chapters from Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston, it was agreed to participate in the American Culinary Federation and Texas Chef Association conference hosted here in Houston.

Dames managed the hospitality suite for all attending. This provided us an opportunity for marketing of LDEI at the state level.

21 Dames attended the new member induction event at Dame Addie d'Agostino's restaurant, Relish. This year we inducted 7 new Dames. The dinner was family style and hor d'ourves and wines were enjoyed.

The Polo event was our very first fundraiser of the year with foods donated by Ruth Chris Restaurants.

93 Tickets were sold. Dame Diane d'Agostino donated picnic basket for the silent auction, we also received wine donations from Dames Maria McGinity/Sandra Shafer for the Wine Pull.  

Dame Peg Lee donated 100 shopping bags from Central Market that we filled with goodies from Dames Diane d'Agostino, Marie LeNotre Arts Institute Dame Kimberly Joyner, and...

Our March event was held at St Arnold's Brewery in the Founders Room.

We received a tour of the facilities including a beer making presentation.

Arts Institute dames yvonne Sternes/kimberly joyner produced german styles bites and sweets; and rice university dame sarah finster produced amazing pickled vegetables from local farmers market produce. Dame Marie LeNotre donated baguettes.

Dame Peg Lee secured the conference room at Central Market and attendees enjoyed an incredible spread of foods prepared by Central Market.

20 Dames confirmed attending our annual working meeting along with several visitors.  All 2017-2018 programs were presented by the board and the new website was shared.

Our dames volunteered at the new Women and Family Development Center, called the Cornerstone Community for Star of Hope charities. This was our 4th year serving food and drinks to the residents of the community. The services were peaceful and children and mothers shared a bit of joy while spending holidays at the shelter.

We celebrated our Scholarship awards for this year's recipients at Le Bistro at the Culinary Institute Lenotre on November 6th, 2017.  Lenotre Institute recipients assisted with the dinner services and all recipients were introduced and acknowledged. 

A total of 28 Dames and 17 students attended a Caribbean style dinner at LeBistro.
